This site is intended for everyone who wants to attend or know more about entering and attending the United States Naval Academy (USNA)--located in Annapolis, Maryland.For those who have not yet been there, you should FIRST visit the U.S. Naval Academy webpage. The views on this website have not been officially approved by either the Naval Academy or the Naval Academy Alumnae Foundation; however, in each instance, the information found herein is always offered in the spirit of that which is best for the applicant or appointee.
Most of the tips found within this website may also be used by all those that wish to attend any of the other 4 premier military service academies:
- United States Military Academy (West Point)

- United States Coast Guard Academy
- United States Merchant Marine Academy
The site was developed by Las Vegas, Nevada based Blue & Gold Officers (BGO’s) so that they might earlier, more consistently and better reach those who are seeking additional information that may not necessarily found in other places. BGO’s are trained Nevada based volunteers who are tasked with representing the Naval Academy; guiding students through the extensive application process; and, promoting USNA awareness in Nevada.
There are literally hundreds of TIPS, LINKS, PICTURES, and TRUTHS to help you and your parents help yourself in the application process!
One of the many Naval Academy sayings is that it is:
- 50% toughest to get into the Academy
- 25% toughest to get through the 1st (Plebe) year; and
- 25% toughest to graduate!
You will need help! So don't be afraid or ashamed to ask YOUR BGO!
